So after hours of cutting out acetate and glueing the structure together, voila! I managed to create an open lounge. Because of the intricacy of the shape, as well as the rigidity of acetate, it was quite hard to replicate the shape by cutting. However, it managed to stand up well in the end. The overall structure was inspired by the dandelion. My aim was to create that circular shape, and after a lot of difficulty, the results paid off. Well, at least in my opinion. In terms of context, I thought it would be interesting to place it in front of the Tower bridge, as there is a lot of open space, along with a great view. For now, I'm quite happy with the context, however I might continue to play with it.
