Fashion and Textiles

Fashion is definitely an area which I don't want to be specialising in, and that was exactly the mindset that I had walked into class with.
The idea of 'compress and expand' as our ongoing concept was interesting to me, and yet I didn't quite feel inspired in class. Through photo manipulations and experimentals, I tried to find my comfort zone in the area. When moving from 2D to 3D, classes got a bit more interesting. It's maybe because I'm more inclined towards 3D, where new ideas started flowing in.
My final models were related to interior and architecture, instead of thinking about the human body, in terms of proportion. But in the end I learned that there is definitely a link between the areas of art, and fashion is strongly linked to 3D, and I know that I will take what I've acquired from here and use it in the future.
