A breath of fresh air

There are some people who you can just look to and say, 'wow!'. That is exactly the moment I had experienced today. We had the opportunity to have Dominic Wilcox as our guest speaker for today's lecture. He spoke about his journey through university and how he tried out different courses to discover which area he was interested in. Hearing such well known universities like the Royal College of Arts is an instant clarification of such creative talent.
I'm pretty sure everyone was simply blown away by his 30 day Speed Creating project, and the reason why I say everyone is because when looking around the lecture theatre, I could see people smiling, laughing and some people who's jaws just dropped in awe.
His mission was to create anything with a budget of 10 pounds a day, if I'm not mistaken. I had never seen such simple items being used to create the most interesting things. Who knew bread could be used as a lampshade, or playing football to make, in his opinion, a delicious milkshake! I particularly enjoyed the fact that he had taken such risks for this project. Although he used such simple, everyday objects, his outcomes are so eye catching!
Walking out of the lecture theatre left me so inspired and I can't wait to come across more artists like Dominic.
